Strike Badge – A new illustration for the second edition of Left Cultures, out now.
The illustration is a response to a piece by Alison Winch about growing up in Leeds in the early 80’s and making sense of the miner’s struggle and politics through the lens of popular TV culture of the time… “memories blur with television images of police on horses, truncheons, blue suits and handbags, adverts for Persil and Domestic Toilet Cleaner, lines of miners, Newsround and He-Man”.
